Just a tiny bit. The face is a little more sensitive than the body because of all the nerve endings. To minimize sensation, we use extra small needles. There may be some sensation upon insertion, but after, there will be only relaxation.
Besides feeling and looking extra beautiful, there is occasionally bruising. If you tend to bruise easily, you can take arnica homeopathic tablets beforehand available at health food stores, to limit this.
We mostly do cupping the back and shoulders, though occasionally other areas. It will feel “tight and maybe some pressure. It should not hurt.
Cupping often leaves marks that look like “bruises” they aren’t really bruises though as they heal faster. Keeping the area that was cupped “covered” for 24 hours is recommended. But you can do everything you usually do.
